We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, showing exceptional kindness from the moment we walked in. Our food was prepared incredibly quickly without sacrificing quality—it was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed. Lovely staff, especially the manager. What really stood out was how helpful the staff was. They went out of their way to assist us with [specific situation, e.g., a special request, dietary needs, or any personal assistance]. It’s rare to find a place where the team truly cares about their customers. If you’re looking for great food, friendly faces, and outstanding service, this is the spot. I enjoy Tendergreens Berkeley! I always order delivery and haven’t been disappointed once. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu—salmon, steak, short ribs, chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cookies, veggies, and their salad with goat cheese. Everything is consistently fresh and flavorful. Even when I request my steak or salmon well-done, it’s still tender and juicy. The mac & cheese really surprised me—in a good way! I expected a stovetop version, but it was baked with breadcrumbs and had a nice subtle herb flavor. So good! Their family meal is a lifesaver—it helps me prep dinner for the next 2–3 days and feeds my family of 3 comfortably. Today I wanted a little something extra: the short rib sauce with my mashed potatoes, even though I wasn’t ordering the short ribs. I called the store, and the representative who helped me was super polite and helpful. She even checked if they could include the sauce and made it happen—no fuss. I completed my order online , and when my food arrived—bam, the sauce was there! Shoutout to the Tendergreens team for always coming through with good food and service.

Employees are all super nice and the restaurant is clean and has tons of seating. There’s a cute patio in the back too with plenty of seating. The mac and cheese is sooo good, def recommend! The chicken is yummy but sometimes comes out cold. Crispy potatoes can be amazing and so flavorful. Prices are fair. It’s in downtown Berkeley so parking is limited to street parking and hard to find, would walk or bus here

Hidden gem, when I first came here a few years ago I thought it was expensive but these days it actually feels quite reasonable. Staff are great, food is consistently very good and the back yard patio area is a nice hideaway in downtown Berkeley. Highly recommended, wish the parking was easier around here otherwise I would come more often!

I’ve been coming to Tender Greens in Berkeley since I was a student, and it’s always been a go-to spot. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—not too salty, not bland—and the prices are super reasonable for the quality. It’s one of the few places in the Bay Area where I can eat a full, satisfying meal and not feel inflamed afterward, which says a lot about the quality of ingredients they use. Healthy, filling, and reliably good—thank you for always feeding me so well.

Nice place for healthy food with vegetarian options. Bolognese pasta is really good and comes in big portions. The chicken soup is somewhat generic.

I got a salad delivered from DoorDash here yesterday and it was so good, I was a little shocked. The salmon was juicy and the skin was crispy even, which I never expect since it takes a while to get delivered. After I wouldn't shut up about it to my husband, we decided to try it in the restaurant today and now we're both scratching our head at how the reviews are so low on Yelp. He had the steak and I had the salmon again and both were DELICIOUS. The quality of both dishes were something we would've paid 30-40 in a nice Napa restaurant. We will definitely add Tender Greens to our restaurant rotation and I'm so glad it's so near us. We hope this Berkeley location thrives and stays open for a long time.

I absolutely love Tender Greens!!! There are few in NorCal, but very popular in SoCal... I would love to see more in the bay area!!! Grest atmosphere, very open and spacious, friendly service qnd engaging, and the food never disappoints! Fresh, flavorful, and healthy!!!
